Rules and regulations

• Open to individuals (aged 16+) or organisations worldwide, unless restricted by local laws.
• Employees of the organising team/judges are ineligible to submit an entry. 

• One entry per person/organisation in a chosen category (multiple submissions will disqualify all entries).
• Entries must be original and not previously entered or awarded in any other competition.
• If AI-assisted or generated, this must be declared in the submission entry form.

• Format: Text with option of an image attachment.
• Word limit: 500 words maximum.
• Language: English.

Judgement of submissions will be undertaken by an external International Panel of Judges

Judging Criteria:

• Originality and creativity.
• Clarity and coherence of idea.
• Relevance to the chosen category.
• Use and/or validity of evidence (where applicable).
• Presentation synopsis.
• Judges’ decision is final.

• Closing date: 19/10/2025; late entries will be disqualified.
• Submit via online form link on competition website.

• Winner(s) announced on 08/12/2025 via website and email correspondence;
• Prizes will be awarded in each category namely a) functional, b) cultural, c) imaginative, d) AI enabled; there will be an additional prize for the one overall winner;
• Organisers may promote entries (with credit) for educational purposes.

• Plagiarism, false information, or breach of rules.
• Offensive/harmful content.

Personal data used only for competition purposes (GDPR compliance).

We are committed to protecting your personal data in compliance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and other applicable laws.

How We Use Your Data:

• Collected data (e.g., name, email, contact details) will only be used for competition administration, winner notifications, and prize fulfillment.
• We will not share your data with third parties without your consent, except where required by law.

Data Retention:

• Personal data will be kept only for as long as necessary (e.g., during the competition and for a short period afterward for verification).
• You may request deletion of your data at any stage by contacting us at competition@imagination-works.uk, stating clearly your request in the ‘Subject’ header.

Security:

• We implement appropriate technical and organisational measures to safeguard your data.

• No fee to enter.
